The Surgery Department of the Montjuïc Veterinary Hospital has a team of highly qualified surgeons with extensive experience in this specialty.
We have 3 operating rooms fully equipped with advanced state-of-the-art technology. Each operating room has an automatic respirator, inhalation anesthesia with sevoflurane, multiparametric monitoring to control vital signs and an electric scalpel.
General surgery is the surgical class medical specialty that covers operations of:

Abdomen: surgical treatment of pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract, biliary system, spleen, pancreas, liver, breast, as well as hernias of the abdominal wall.

Thyroid: surgical treatment of the thyroid.

Maxillofacial: surgical treatment of the pathology of the oral cavity and craniofacial territory, as well as the cervical structures directly or indirectly related to them.

Thoracic: surgical treatment of the lungs, heart, large blood vessels such as the aorta artery (ascending, arch and descending), the inferior vena cava, the sympathetic ganglionic chain from which the splanchnics emerge, the major and minor azygos vein, the esophagus, thoracic duct and mediastinum.
All our interventions are carried out with maximum safety measures, after carrying out preoperative tests, in order to minimize anesthetic risks.
