Veterinary Oncology

Oncology is the medical specialty dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.


Medical Oncology was born from the need to cover the different medical aspects of cancer patients. Treats the pathology associated with the tumor disease and the complications derived from the treatment.

Our oncologists are highly experienced specialists who care for cancer patients, from diagnosis, including treatment and follow-up, until cure or during the patient's terminal period.

Its main objective is to provide the best quality of life to animals suffering from cancer, achieve remission or cure of the disease, minimize the side effects of therapy and offer palliative treatment and end-of-life care.

The most common tumors treated in our oncology service are:

  • Lymphoma.

  • Leukemia.

  • Mastocytomas.

  • Feline fibrosarcoma.

  • Osteosarcoma.

  • Soft tissue sarcoma.

  • Mammary gland tumors.

The important advances in diagnostic methods, especially in imaging diagnosis, and the appearance of new antineoplastic drugs, among others, cytostatics or chemotherapy, and new therapies, such as Immunotherapy, Radiation Therapy and experimental therapies, open new and hopeful horizons in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
